Information Security Industry and Federal Market Veteran joins Conquest Security’s Leadership Team

Gaithersburg, MD, February 4, 2009 -- Conquest Security, a SBA 8(a) Program Participant, announced today that Mr. Rich Smith has joined its leadership team as Vice President.

Rich Smith is tasked with strengthening Conquest’s manufacturer representative and value-added reseller services.  “Our goal is to match vendors with unique information security solutions with the federal programs and professionals tasked with protecting our national infrastructure” Rich said.  “We also provide the technical integrations and professional educational services to support these advanced technologies.”

Rich has over thirty-five years of experience with the Federal government, including twenty-five years in sales and sales management. He has held executive positions managing business development, inside sales, outside sales, technical support and channel programs for emerging security companies including Internet Security Systems (ISS), S.P.I. Dynamics, WorkShare and VistaScape Security Systems. As Vice President of Federal Operations at ISS, Rich significantly increased the company’s Federal sales revenue from $200,000 a year to $20 Million during his five-year tenure.
